The Orvis Sonic Tailwaters Wading Jacket is Orvis’s top-of-the-line fishing rain jacket. Get ready to face the rain and wind and fish no matter the conditions- this jacket came to perform! Featuring the same seam-welded technology and waterproof, breathable fabric used in Orvis’ award-winning waders. The fit on this wading jacket is cut to be worn over other layers and offer freedom of movement for casting and rowing. It has four pockets on the outside with water-resistant zippers: Two water-resistant, zippered handwarmer pockets help ensure you can tie that tiny Lightning Bug on the end of your tippet without frozen fingers, and double as small gear storage. And two large, vertical zippered main pockets, sized to fit large fly boxes, a hat and/or other gear you need dry but handy. There’s an internal zipper storage pocket for keys or phone. The drawcord along hem banishes the breeze, and a full-coverage hood with two-way adjustment keeps rain out of your eyes. Dolphin Skin Cuff® system means you’ll stay dry while casting in a downpour or when your’e releasing fish and lies flat to avoid fly-line tangles. In charcoal/gray. 100% nylon. Washable.
Shop Staff Notes: The Orvis Sonic Tailwaters Wading Jacket is owned and used by many of the Staff here at CrossCurrents Fly Shop. Check out the product gallery photo to see our Craig store Manager, Ben Cooley sporting his Sonic Tailwaters in BC. This jacket packs down nicely (more so than other high-end hard core rain gear) because it’s built utilizing Orvis’ patented Sonic Welding technology. This makes the seams very slim and flexible. Overall, the Orvis Sonic Tailwaters Wading Jacket is a winner.
