The Amplitude Smooth series of lines are, simply put, the highest-performance smooth fly lines in the world. With up to five times less drag and eight times the durability of traditional lines, this will change the way you look at fly line performance.

The Infinity Salt is technical, versatile, accurate and simply the most advanced saltwater line available. Featuring the revolutionary AST Plus slickness additive for superior shooting ability and increased durability the Infinity Salt will handle the most rigorous of conditions year after year. The Infinity Salt is a half line weight heavy to turn over any fly on even the windiest of days. The extended head length makes it more accurate then short shooting heads so that you can land your fly to spooky fish in the most efficient manner.

Shop Staff Notes:  The Scientific Anglers Amplitude Smooth fly lines are awesome in performance and perfect for saltwater or streamer stripping. This Amplitude Smooth Infinity Salt is an excellent choice for all but the most specialized need in saltwater fly fishing.  Our Craig store Manager and Redfish/Carp Guide, Ben Cooley, got to field test this line down in the Louisana Salt Marshes and it quickly became his favorite fly line for chasing Redfish, Drum and Sheepshead.  This line would also excel on the flats in Belize, Bahamas, Christmas Island, etc.!  We do love textured fly lines for amazing casting and floating performance but they can be a little much on the digits when used with blazing fast fish like Bones, Permit, Redfish and the like so the smooth lines are better suited in our opinion.  We sell 80% textured fly lines for our freshwater fishing but 90% smooth fly lines for saltwater. Either way, you might fine using a Buff Finger Guard an excellent option when chasing speedy salt species!

Info on SA Technologies:
AST Plus: A new formulation of our patented dry-slick technology provides continual line slickness over the lifetime of the line. Up to 50% slicker than the original AST and 200% more durable than the competition. Fly lines with AST Plus cast farther, float higher, and stay cleaner than any other lines ever built.
SA Tropi-Core: Tropical environments are not only taxing on the angler but can also be taxing on a fly line. Lines with Tropi-Core™ technology can withstand the hottest boat decks and warmest water environments. Combine the Tropi-Core™ technology with our proprietary hard saltwater coating and species-specific tapers, and you have the best in saltwater fly-line technology.
Welded Loops:  Exceptionally slick and strong, our Welded Loops produce smoother casts and easier turnover with a seamless fly-line-to-loop transition, making for softer landings and cleaner pickups. The sleek design also maintains buoyancy for improved fly-line flotation and enables quicker connections between fly line and leaders or Versileaders, or fly line and backing.
-SA ID:  Meet the Scientific Anglers Line Identification System. SA•ID is an innovative line-marking system allowing you to identify your lines at a glance. Wonder if a shooting head is 200 grain or a 300 or is that the Mirage LT Reel with the 5 weight or 6 weight line? Just look at the SA•ID. The SA•ID can be found on the first 1-2 feet of the tip section of your line.
