Radiation Baetis
Sizes:  #14, #16,  #18

The Radiation Baetis is an awesome beadhead nymph that is in just about every Guide’s fly box on the Missouri River.  (At least the local Guides that know the river!) With it’s tungsten bead, this fly can get down to where the fish are fast. Use the size #14 or #16 as a lead fly or use the #16 or #18 as the bottom fly. Common flies that we will use to trail behind the Radiation Baetis are the Little Green Machine, Mirage Nymph. This is a great Spring and Fall pattern when the baetis are popping, but we’ve been known to also use the #14 and #16 during the PMD hatch as well. Whether you’re new to nymphing or been doing it for a long time, be sure to check our CCFS Nymph Rig, it will be sure to make your life much easier on the water.
