Flows this morning are at 3,420 cfs. Water temps at 64. The air temperature should hit 94 today with an overnight low of 60.  Fishing down river of Craig can become a salad making process.  Fishing from Craig to the Dam can be a salad making process…… as well but the fish are there and eating.  Slow down and prepare yourself for cleaning your rig every cast.  If you get a really long drift with no bite, clean your rig.  You will need to do row arounds for sure.  It will pay to float a good section several times as getting a drift with no weeds is very hard right now.  Put your nymph rig out there, mend once if you need to and leave it ALONE!

Get out there early, 6am or earlier.  Take a siesta and get back out around 5 or 6 pm and stay till dark.  It pays off just ask the staff at the big red barn.

Fish the Trico’s in the morning, Caddis and PMDs into the evening with terrestrials in between. There has been some good Caddis in the morning as well, look for that splashy rise.
