Experience easy on-and-off with instant lacing and more even tension and comfort throughout the Men’s PRO BOA Wading Boot. The addition of the BOA Lacing System to the PRO boot creates the most advanced wading boot in the industry with consistent tension throughout the boot for a better fit and enhanced all-day comfort. The PRO Wading Boot was an industry-first collaborative effort with Michelin®, built on an outsole compound specifically designed for fly fishing. This revolutionary new sole design is an industry-disrupting advance in wet rubber traction. The Michelin Outdoor Extreme outsole offers 25% better abrasion resistance and a resounding 43% improvement in wet rubber traction over the competition. Using Michelin tire geometry, it offers a wider footprint for stability, a higher ratio of surface contact, and a lug pattern that reduces shock and improves pressure distribution. The two-layer midsole has a co-molded ESS plate that provides improved stud retention and torsional stability. Orvis partnered with OrthoLite® to create a 3D molded X25 insole designed for high-impact sports, delivering maximum comfort and arch support. An industry-first cast PU upper eliminates seams while providing a zoned cage for added stability, grip, and extreme abrasion resistance without the added bulk. The boot is higher cut for ankle support and lined with closed-cell foam. Scratch rubber at the toe cap and heel for abrasion resistance, an oversized heel pull for easier on-and-off, and tightly woven laces reduce broken laces. In shadow. Weighs 50 oz. in size 10. Imported.

Shop Staff Notes: WOW! They took our favorite, most comfortable, best grip boot and made it better -no superlative -by adding the BOA Lacing System to it! Yes, it’s got a high price tag but the fit, comfort, grip, durability and now super ease of getting on and off, is worth it. The PRO Boots fit a little snugger than some of our other boots we carry so you may want to bump up a size if you will wear these boots with your waders in all seasons. (i.e. If you wear an 11, we recommend bumping to a 12. If you’re an 11.5 you for sure want bump up to a 12 and maybe even a 13 if you’re going to be wearing this boot in winter or cold water and will be using a thick sock under your waders.) The Michelin sole definitely has be best grip of any rubber compound we have used but if you don’t use these in boats and want even more grip, look at picking up a set of studs. Bottom line, you are gonna love these wader boots!
Even when you use non-felt soles, you need to be aware of Aquatic Nuisance Species (ANS) aka Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS). Please INSPECT. CLEAN, DRY all your wading gear. Here are some resources about ANS: MT FWP AIS, ANS Task Force, USDA AIS, Whirling Disease Info from TU. Clean Angling.
