The RIO Suppleflex Tippet is incredibly strong, with excellent knot strength and, as its name suggests, unbelievably soft and supple. A featherweight presentation does not impede the natural movement of a fly in the current. Available in 4X – 7X, the Suppleflex is the perfect choice for the trout angler fishing with smaller flies.

Shop Staff Notes:  The RIO Suppleflex Tippet and Leaders are excellent choices to help you get that perfect, drag-free drift with small dry flies. When those trout get picky (as they tend to do here on the Missouri), this is a great nylon material to use. It does knot up well to other nylon material but make sure you wet it well before you tighten it up as you don’t want it to get burned when you cinch it tight. This isn’t a big issue, but you do want to be more diligent in your knot tying with this more supple material.  NOTE- We are closing out this tippet and it’s leader counter part, RIO Suppleflex Trout Leaders, in favor of the new, SA Absolute Trout Stealth Tippet and SA Absolute Fluorocarbon Trout Supreme Tippet and Leaders. We only have so much wall space (and we think the Absolute line from SA does edge out this material!)
