Helios 3D 10-Weight, 9-Foot Fly Rods are designed for exceptional accuracy but with enhanced power. They are the most accurate fly rods ever built, but offer remarkable strength and the ability to place a fly where you want it at distance. The Helios 3D 910-4 is the go-to rod in the Northeast for BIG stripers, false albacore, and bonito. It’s the perfect rod for large, bull reds, giant barracuda, permit, tarpon and other mid to large size tropical species. Proudly made in Manchester, Vermont, USA.
Rod Outfits include: Rod, Reel, Line, appropriate size and amount of colored, 30-pound Dacron backing all spooled up, ready to go and with a rod tube and rod bag and reel case. The reel will be spooled up Left-Hand Retrieve, unless you specify right-hand retrieve in the Notes at check out.

Shop Staff Notes: The Orvis Helios 3D 9′ 10-weight Fly Rod is the quintessential big-game saltwater fly rod. This rod is also at home casting to mid to large size Tarpon and Permit on the flats on windy days and many other big game and saltwater species. When teamed with a great reel (like a Mirage USA) and you know how to really use the butt of the rod to pull against your quarry, you can battle just about any species in the salt.
